Provide high-quality support to individuals living with disabilities.
Support clients with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household duties.
Ensure a safe and comfortable environment during night shifts.
Engage in meaningful social interactions to enhance the well-being of clients.
Monitor and respond to any overnight needs or emergencies.
Transport participants as required, ensuring safe travel.
Maintain accurate progress notes and document client interactions.
Follow individual support plans to ensure quality care.
Work collaboratively with other support staff, healthcare professionals, and families.
Uphold NDIS standards and best practices in disability support.
Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support, or Individual Support. Nursing students with 6-8 weeks of nursing placement experience are encouraged to apply.
Minimum 6 months of recent experience in disability, community, hospital, or aged care settings.
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance.
NDIS Worker Screening.
Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Hold a Working with Children Check and an NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
Willingness to undergo a National Police Check upon employment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
A ‘can do’ attitude with a proactive and supportive approach.
Availability for overnight and sleepover shifts.
Strong problem-solving skills to adapt to clients’ individual needs.
Ability to build trusting and positive relationships with clients and their families.
Conflict resolution skills to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support others.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with diverse clients.
High level of emotional intelligence to navigate complex social interactions.
Ongoing regular shifts with rosters created in advance.
